Just 6.5 kilometers away, you’ll find Flowerpot Island, which is part of the Fathom Five National Marine Park. This is known for its natural sea stacks, which are the ‘flowerpots’ for which the island is named. You can reach this island by boat, and you’ll find a huge range of natural attractions and sights to explore. Visit the caves, try one of the walking trails, take in the wild plants, and take in the historic light station. I highly recommend a trip to this gorgeous island, and you can easily reach it by boat from Tobermory.

The port village of Lion’s Head is the perfect place to enjoy serenity and tranquillity. The name comes from the surrounding cliffs, which resemble the head of a lion when viewed from further afield. This village is located along the shores of Isthmus Bay, and it is filled with friendly and welcoming locals. One of the highlights of the village is the Lion’s Head Lookout, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. From the lookout, you can see the picturesque town and the beautiful blue waters of Georgian Bay.

I would definitely recommend you visit this charming village, as you can combine natural beauty with a peaceful environment and the chance to get to know the locals. Make sure to take a hike up to the Lion’s Head Lookout for a breathtaking view, or spend a lazy afternoon exploring the quaint shops and cafes. Don’t forget to capture some photos of the stunning scenery from the Lion’s Head Lookout, which is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike.

Wiarton is a charming community filled with character, and it is popular all year round. It has become known for its famous resident, Wiarton Willie, and the area attracts worldwide media attention with the annual Groundhog Day convention. The Wiarton Willie Festival runs for up to five days in February, and this is a great time to visit.

With a population of just 2,300, this is a close-knit community that gives a sense of homeliness and a special charm. This is what attracts many people to the area, and it is just one of the many reasons you should pay Wiarton a visit.
